Jaipur Literature Festival(JLF) – Greatest Literary Show on Earth
What is it?
A world famous literary festival, celebrated every January in Jaipur, India. Each year people come from over India and world together with enthusiasm, inspirational talks and stunning performances.
Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) was first started in 2008 and has grown into a huge celebration since then. It has been described as the greatest literary show on earth, featuring writers and performers from all over the world. Being one of the favourite places for thinkers, writers, politicians, humanitarians, sports players, leaders, businessmen and entertainers, it is a perfect mix to portray the mindful thoughts, listen to engaging speeches and take part in debates for the betterment of humanity. Every year, the festival is directed under the leadership of William Dalrymple and Namita Gokhale at the Diggi Palace in Jaipur. It is a five-day long programme which is held towards the end of January.
The festival is free to attend, however registration is strongly recommended. Book early to avoid disappointment. A limited number of paid tickets are available on the day via Diggi Palace.
