It is a literary festival which is celebrated in Jaipur, India every year with the same enthusiasm and full of performances. Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) was first started in 2006 and after 2008, it has been organised by Teamwork Arts. From the inception, it is going to be the 13th edition in the series. It is described as the greatest literary show on earth considering the virtue the fest holds in the world. The core of the fest remains rigid because it is on its feet to offer fair and free access to the democratic and unaligned platform. Being one of the favourite places for thinkers, writers, politicians, humanitarians, sports players, leaders, businessmen and entertainers, it is a perfect mix to portray the mindful thoughts and take part in engaging speech and debate for the betterment. Every year, the festival is directed under the leadership of William Dalrymple and Namita Gokhale at the Diggi Palace in Jaipur. It is a five-day long programme which is going to take place from 24th Jan 2019 to 28th Jan 2019.
All About The Important Detail To Take Part In JLF 2019:
The free online registration to attend the fest on Saturday, January 26 and Sunday, January 27, 2019, has been closed in order to ignore overcrowd at the function. Although, a limited number of passes are still available at the Diggi Palace and they are chargeable at a nominal amount now. As a delegate, the applicants have a paid registration and they will enjoy some other facilities over general registrations. Apart from this, there are some sections as well as mentioning school and media registration.
They have a long list of speakers who are going to lead the JLF 2019 with their thoughts and unwavering points. Some of the famous speakers are Colson Whitehead (author), Markus Zusak (international author), Andrew Sean Greer (author), Hari Kunzru (novelist and journalist), Manisha Koirala (actress), Perumal Murugan (Tamil author) and Juergen Boos (CEO of the Frankfurt book fair). With such a listing, this year edition is going to be unrivalled fest as everybody is waiting to see it on the platform of reality. Focussed on Speculative Fiction, AI (Artificial Intelligence), Scientific Temper, our planet future and Science issues, this festival is set to make a meaningful impact on everyone's life.
This 5-day long session is full of different events which are going to take place at Charbagh, Front Lawn, Mughal Tent, Bank of Baroda Baithak, Durbar Hall, and Samvad at different timings and different days.
On 24th Jan:
The day will start by morning music around 9.15 AM, followed by the inaugural session, and other programmes presented by Red Fm, Dainik Bhaskar, American Embassy, Nordic Lights, and Avid Learning. There are total 32 programmes which are going to end at 6.15 PM on the 1st day.
Some of the important programmes which are going to take place are Mahasamar: Writing the Epic, The Puranas, and Ancient DNA: Who We Are and How We Got here.
On 25th Jan:
The next day will again start at 9.15 am with morning music, followed by 37 other programmes which are going to close at 6.15 pm. Some famous authors will be part of this day session are Anuradha Roy, Markus Zusak, and Patrick French.
On 26th Jan:The republic day will follow the same schedule with 41 programmes which are going to end till 6.20 PM. Some important conversation during the 3rd day is going to take place between many experts on topics such as Brexit, climate change, the world's war, and cellphone nation.
On 27th Jan:
This day is also busy with 41 programmes from morning 9.15 to evening 6.20. The 4th day of this JLF 2019 is also full of many attractive sessions by Marc Quinn, Katty Kay, Namita Gokhale, Manjushree Thapa and Paramita Satpaty.
On 28th Jan:
It is a conclusion day of the session with a total of 30 programmes. There is an arrangement of tea break at the end to treat the invitees. This day is also full of performances by Dhruv Raj Sharma, Rima Hooja, William Dalrymple, Sharad Paul, Anjum Hasan and Jenny Uglow.
